Library Moments Revealed

Today is the last day of my community service for the scholarship grant I received in school. My duty was at the library and the last 2 days of my stay were filled with funny moments...Ma'am Rory and Ma'am Sol were arranging old books in the computer room where I was encoding the index of Philippine Medical Literature. It was hilarious to see & hear them argue about the books and they were like children in a petty fight.

Scene 1 -
Ma'am Rory: "Hindi ba sa medical section ito?"
Ma'am Sol: "Ay naku, sinabi ko naman sayo Filipiñana yan eh...Ikaw talaga, pinapahirapan mo ako."
Ma'am Rory: "Ewan ko ba naman sayo..."

Scene 2 - 4:45 pm (library about to close)
Ma'am Sol: "Etong si Rory...tatanong-tanong pa kasi ng gagawin...Bukas na kasi dapat yan."
Ma'am Rory: "Oo nga. Para lang alam na natin kung anong gagawin. Sige na, pagmemeryendahin ko uli kayo bukas."
Ma'am Sol: "Ayan...Sige, gawin na natin ito." (giggles) --> gusto lang pala ni Ma'am ng meryenda...haha!

Their conversation may seem not so funny when you are reading this blog, but when you are there witnessing their actual discussion, it's just so funny to see 2 adults talk like kids. ;)

Then there's Kuya Michael & Leo (a.k.a. Lea)...I was amused of their endless talks about lovelife, how one should be not so picky, and their constant taunting on each other (which was often about Leo's being gay). Leo also has his subtle ways of cracking up jokes...

Scene 3 -
Leo: "Magkakaroon na yata ako..."
Ma'am Sol: "Ambisyosa itong baklang ito..."
Ma'am Rory: "Etong si Leo talaga..."
Leo: "Oo nga po, ma'am. Kulay yellow nga eh...Sabi ng doctor ko, normal lang daw yun. Kailangan lang daw ng bluetooth. Magiging pink din siya..."
Kuya Michael: "May pa-bluetooth, bluetooth ka pang nalalaman diyan ha..."

Scene 4 -
Leo: "Dapat talaga tinapos ko na yung pagmemedisina ko eh."
Kuya Michael: "Oh, anong nangyari?"
Leo: "Wala eh...sabi nga ng tatay ko dapat nag-Computer Embalmer na lang daw ako Major in Vulcanizing."

Scene 5 -
Leo: "May girlfriend ka na ba?"
Kuya Michael: "Wala pa..."
Leo: (with a manly voice) "Ako rin eh. Wala pang girlfriend. Gusto mo tayo na lang?"
Kuya Michael: "Ewan ko sayo."

There are a lot more funny moments & conversations between the librarians (not all are safe to even mention in this blog...parental guidance is advised. haha!)...I will miss hanging out with them (they even gave me a free merienda...i enjoyed an afternoon delight of lumpia. hehe!)...although the sembreak is just too short and I'll be seeing them soon...but it wouldn't be the same 'coz I won't be at the library to crack up jokes with them, instead I'll be studying (or sleeping. haha!)...anyway, it was sure fun to get to know them all.
